An HVAC Company Was Not The Plan<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

By the time I got to college, I thought I had my path figured out and an HVAC Company was not on that path.<\/p>\n

Graduate. Get a job. Build a career somewhere.<\/p>\n

Pretty standard.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, back home, AAA Heating & Air<\/strong> wasn\u2019t the same small operation I grew up around anymore.<\/p>\n

It was growing and fast.<\/p>\n

More trucks. More calls. More people depending on it\u2014both employees and customers.<\/p>\n

But if I\u2019m being honest, I still didn\u2019t fully understand what that meant.<\/p>\n

When I came home during breaks, I\u2019d jump in where I could.<\/p>\n

Customers were depending on us every single day<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t just a guy in a van anymore.<\/p>\n

This was a full operation.<\/p>\n

The Moment It Hit Me<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

There wasn\u2019t one big dramatic moment.<\/p>\n

It was a series of small ones.<\/p>\n

Seeing multiple crews roll out in the morning.<\/p>\n

Watching phones ring nonstop.<\/p>\n

Hearing conversations about payroll, overhead, and making sure everyone got paid on time.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when it clicked:<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t just about fixing HVAC systems.<\/p>\n

This was a business that families depended on\u2014for comfort, yes\u2014but also for livelihood.<\/em><\/p>\n

Employees had mortgages.<\/p>\n

They had kids.<\/p>\n

And this company was helping support all of that.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re younger, you don\u2019t think about things like that.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t think about what happens if a week goes bad.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t think about what it takes to keep everything moving.<\/p>\n

But seeing it up close during those college years changed that.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s pressure that comes with growth.<\/p>\n

Not the kind that breaks you\u2014but the kind that forces you to level up.<\/p>\n

Every decision matters more.<\/p>\n

Every mistake carries more weight.<\/p>\n

A lot of companies grow.<\/p>\n

But not all of them grow the right way.<\/p>\n

    At the time, I didn\u2019t realize how important those years were for me.<\/p>\n

    But looking back, that\u2019s when my perspective shifted.<\/p>\n

    I stopped seeing it as \u201cmy dad\u2019s company.\u201d<\/p>\n

    And started seeing it as something I could be a part of.<\/p>\n

    Something worth investing in.<\/p>\n

    Final Thought<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Growth changes things.<\/p>\n

    It adds complexity. It adds pressure.<\/p>\n

    But if you do it right, it also builds something bigger than you ever expected.<\/p>\n

    That\u2019s what I got to witness during those college years.<\/p>\n
